Frank Warren has made David Haye a substantial written offer to take on WBO cruiserweight champion Enzo Maccarinelli - but a week later is still waiting for a response from the European king.
Team Haye claim they are keen on a fight with the Welshman, whose big-punching performances have propelled him to a world title.
But despite conducting a high-profile media campaign insisting they are making all the running, Warren says Haye's camp aren't being ignored.
"I sent David a written offer last week for much more than they have offered Enzo," said Warren. "So far, I haven't had any response.
"As I've said before, what Haye and his people seem to forget is that Enzo is the champion and will get the money a champion deserves.
"People can run him down all they like, but he has fought everyone he's been asked to.
"He took on Mark Hobson twice, beat the WBO number two to win the title and was twice down to meet Johnny Nelson. It wasn't Enzo who pulled out on each occasion.
"Haye fights in front of a few hundred people at York Hall, while Enzo is a huge star who has appeared at the Millennium Stadium and the MEN Arena, sells tickets by the bucket load, and has got good exposure on prime time terrestrial television.
"Haye is not in as strong a position as he thinks he is, and is adviser Adam Booth is naive to suggest otherwise. Enzo has been offered a May date with HBO, not Haye.
"Haye is not mandatory for the WBO title so it's not a fight that Enzo has to take, and although he is number one in the WBC rankings, O'Neill Bell is the champion and he is fighting Jean Marc Mormeck next, not Haye.
"And if fights against either Enzo or the winner of Bell-Mormeck went to purse bids, then Haye would be taking the short end of the purse, a much shorter end than I am currently offering him.
"It's a badly kept secret that Haye has a bad hand which could go at any time, and I'm not in the business of providing him with a pension fund.
"I've made him a more than generous offer, and if he really fancies his chances, then he should step up to the plate and accept the fight.
"He can't hold out in the hope that Enzo is going to fight him on Sky, because that's simply not an option.
"Sky aren't interested in showing the fight because of the ridiculous financial demands Haye is making.
"But more importantly they know, like me, that there is only one winner, and that's Enzo Maccarinelli. They are not in the business of helping to promote an ITV fighter."
