Castillo-Corrales I wasnt that good a fight for the first 6 rounds. Lots of clinching, lots of booing from the crowd, but when they did throw it was awsome.

Bombs away. In round 7, it REALLY heated up. Round 8 was ALLLL action. And round 9 was time capsule stuff, like Gatti-ward round 9 or Barrera-Morales round 5. ANd then round 10 is self explanatory. The single most dramatic round in the history of boxing

they werent clinching neccasarily, but they were close to eachother, and they certainly werent throwing very often

Benn- McClellan was big. The thing with the others that you mention is that both fighters were not at their peeks. Ward-Gatti was a good scrap but was it contested by two of the greatest fighters on the planet at the time? Same with Tapia-Ayala, who the F was Ayala coming up, he held little regard in the publics eye.

The thing with Hagler/Hearns is that they were both rated atop the times P4P list and when they came together it was instant war. There have been countless great fights between not so great fighters. But when two of the greatest of the time step in a deliver like that its just magical...........Rockin'

For entertainment value, have a look at DLH - Gatti, for sure, Cruz - McGuigan, Mcguigan - Pedroza. Benn - Eubank fights, Hamed - Barrera (to see the latter give the former a boxing lesson) and also the Pacman - Barrera, Barrera - Morales fights, and Pacman - Morales fights. All wars. In my opinion, though, none as great as that first Castillo - Coralles fight though.

By the way, if anyone has a US broadcast of Castillo - Coralles I, I'll pay you damn good money to mail me a copy.
