Are "Russian" Boxing Fans Perceived as Racist?

Are "Russian" Boxing Fans, especially K2 fans, Perceived as Racist?

    If so, why?

P.S. This view, if exists, is completelty unfounded, since half of Russians are inter-racial in their origins.

Ive never heard of any stereotype regarding Russian boxing fans. The Fighters have a stigma of steroid use, but thats about it.

A friend of mine, Boris, who is from Ukraine is a fan of the Klitschkos, Dimitrenko, Chagaev, etc. He is always rooting for them, but I would not label him racist, he is just nationalitst, so to speak. What I personally don't like is that he seems to loose his cool when somebody is not rooting for them.

There are many ways to be nationalist. On nthis site we have different versions. Consider Vanes and the other Armenians. You couldn't be friendlier or more respectful. Then you have, for example, your different shades of Pinoy. I leave this alone, you get the picture. And the Danes, well . . .
No one would expect Ukrainians to not favor the Klitschkos, it all depends on how it is done. You can be proud without being 'racist' in the hateful sense.

The Pinoys whatever do you mean? Yeah the Armenian cats here do have respect for other fighters. I am drawn towards Russian fighters and have adopted some of their training techniques. Although I am not Russian myself.

Met a Russian in the Middle East. I was with my friends and the Russian said his been to the states. He asked if 1 of our friend is a n@g(%r. But this is only 1 Russian out of millions.
