Being in the army or navy is not the real military? Did you just say that. See...that's why we need to stick to talking strictly about boxing. So ignorant **** like that doesn't come out of people's mouths.Comment

shut the **** up. reading this thread is optional.
and you read right, the army and navy are not the real military.

I've watched several Margarito fights.
You have to consider some factors...
1) Margarito was in a 10 month lay off before the Clottey fight. Obvioulsy he was rusty. I don't think he is in the best shape right now either. I'd like to see him work harder.
2) He's always been about the same speed, it's not that he is necessarily slow. He attacks at off angles, (which is why he has very little defense). Look at how he punches from wide angles, different directions, leaves himself very open.
3) It doesn't necessarily matter that he is not the fastest, he has long arms, he's tall, most people HAVE to come inside to fight him and that's where he is good at.
I've never weighed in on the PBF Vs. Margarito, after watching several fights by both fighters, I think PBF would win a decision easy. He would just outpoint Margarito. Not get hit. And land on Margarito.
Of course he wouldn't knock out Margarito, can PBF knockout anyone at 147? Maybe a journeyman fighter, but he can't knock out a good fighter.
Margarito would never get the chance to knockout Floyd. Which would be his only way of winning the fight.
I don't think anyone can disagree on this. Until Clottey hurt his hand, I had him winning every round. The first 4 rounds, straightout. He doesn't hurt his hand, Clottey wins that fight.Comment

I disagree.
hang on let me turn down the violins...........both fighters had hurt hands so go to excuse #2Comment

Then you weren't watching the fight. Clottey was dominating in all aspect of scoring, punches landed, ring generalship, defense, and damage inflicted. Maragrito was getting blanked.
Don't hang on some fighter nuts and let it ruin your objectivity. You need to get your eyes checked.
Margarito "said" his hand was hurt. I think it was way more apparent Clottey had hurt his hand in the fight. Thus why he stopped throwing it.Comment

once the gloves were off, Margarito was the one with a swollen hand.
Clottey just used that excuse, because he was not doign anything to the baddest man in the welterweight division
go to excuse #2 or is it #3 now ?

Someone post some video of the first 4 rounds and shut this nuthugger up. I'm sorry, he was gettin blanked. And even after Clottey hurt his hand a ton of people still thought Margarito lost.
The scoring was such a job it was ridiculous.
I'm gonna rewatch right now and post Concubox numbers so you can see what a fool you are.
Uhuh. You're trying desperately to defend a fighter that just plain is not really that good. What's your excuse?
Try being objective and not just a person who acts like a kid "my fighter can beat anyone he'll never lose" oh wait. Margarito already lost a couple times....
I guess those were all robberies or is there some excuse you want to offer?Comment
