    I think the ending was more or less about Rocky feeling happy about the outcome of his career...he fought a good fight that no one thought he could win or have a chance at and he came close...it was to me about him getting all those demons out and going out his way win or lose just fighting as hard as he could. I loved the film though alot of people may not have but I will take it over 5 as an ending 7 days a week

      This scene was all symbolism of Rocky’s last movie, Stallone saying by to the character, the fact that this was his last Hurah win, lose or draw, the result was immaterial…the stoic Rocky leaving the scene while the crowd still cheered for the great fight he gave them….

        Just like the first movie. Proving a point, going the distance, being competitive....is more important than winning.

        He already won a moral victory.
