De La Hoya-Mayweather: The Road to Greatness Begins

I dont know if people can call this a "con" fight because of the way its being advertised is as two megastar boxers figthing in the same ring. If you guys remember the whole Baldomire hype it was being fed to us as a real life Rocky who will finaly beat Mayweather and everyone kept talking about how Baldomires size and stregnth would make him the toughest opponent for Mayweather, well that was a CON fight.
To this day I have not really heard any of the so called "experts" saying that Delahoya would win this match, let alone compete!
Offcourse all this will probably change in the next couple of months.
They are selling two names and to their credit they havent been selling the match if you know what I mean.

OK if you want to compare mayweather vs DLH look at their recent performances by starting with their respective opponents: Mayorga ; although he tried stepping up to 160 against Trinidad and got tko'd before that he was considered one hell of an unorthodox, awkward and dangerous fighter with a decent resume beating a variety of very good opponents.
Baldomir: An above average joureneyman who made his name off of catching Zab Judah with a good right and then chasing him for a points victory, next he TKO'd Arturo Gatti who was out of his weight class, punch drunk but still put up a competitve match when he decided box. Put these two, Baldomir vs Mayorga, in a fantasy match and who wins? How? Id have no problem betting money on mayorga with a tko. Obviously you cant define DLH or PBF off of these last two fights but it should provide some perspective. I think DLH vs PBF will be way closer and more competitive than most.
