Lazcano - Harris for WBC eliminator in March

That's right, Juan "The Hispanic Causin' Panic" Lazcano will be facing "Vicious" Vivian Harris in March as a WBC eliminator for the belt currently held by Junior Witter.

You guys will remember that Witter beat Corley for the vacant title, left when Mayweather moved up to 147 pounds.

Normally, the top two fighters fight an elimination but since the top two rated by the WBC are Castillo and Ngoudjo, and they are facing each other to see who will fight Ricky Hatton for the WBA belt, the WBC has decided to sanction the third- and fourth-rated fighters as the eliminator.

This should be a good fight. Lazcano was considered the best at 135 until losing to Jose Luis Castillo (no shame in that) on the DLH - Sturm undercard in June 04. He has since moved to 140 and kept active with the likes of Courtney Burton, Ben Tackie, and Manuel Guarnica. Now he'll have to face a puncher with a long reach in Harris. If he can get inside, look for Lazcano to punish that body and win by decision. If Harris can pop the jab all night, look for him to win a boring UD.

it going to e war but i think Harris could KO Laz. Laz is a pressure fighter and Harris is a puncher and he loves to punch straight right and not left hook like some punchers.

I don't think much of Vivian Harris, but he should be fighting Manuel Garnica...

The Castillo-Ngoudjo fight is still officially an eliminator for the WBC. Hatton is fighting for the IBF title, not the WBA title

Harris should win this fight and set up another boring fight with Witter somewhere along the road.

Yup, You're right, it is for the IBF belt, my bad. Still, the WBC sanctioned the Lazcano fight, not the Castillo fight.

This should be a good fight! Lazcano has a good chin but not sure if he's still the same fighter that fought castillo But then Vivian Harris has a questionable chin, So I think somebody's getting knocked out.

The Castillo fight is still being billed as a WBC final eliminator.

Lazcano looks shot to me, his best years are behind him. Harris should be able to UD Lazcano.
