    so whats the deal with fres oquendo is he offically a nobody now?

    anybody catch his fight with holyfield?

          He was looking good for a hot minute until he was robbed against Chris Byrd (yes, that's right, robbed). He was clearly winning that fight 7-3 going into the final two rounds where he ran out of gas and looked like he wanted to quit. Even if you scored both those rounds 10-8 (without a knock down) Fres would have still deserved a draw on my card, 113-113. I gave them 10-9 rounds for Byrd with a final card of 115-113 Fres.

          He was also fighting really smart against David Tua and winning every round until he got ****** in the 9th and got KO'd.

          Now he's a has-been, tho.

            Fres wasn't a nobody. He should have held the IBF title. His fight with Holyfield dropped him at least into the heavyweight division's third ten...

              This is a good post to summarize Oquendo's career. I agree that he was absolutely robbed vs. Byrd, and I like Byrd.
