Audley Harrison today said he was pleased to be working with promoter Frank Warren, who has promised him a world title opportunity in 2007 if he keeps on winning.
The pair have an "on-going" working relationship, with Harrison's next fight scheduled for February 17 at Wembley Arena, London. to take place on a Sports Network card.
No opponent has yet been announced, but British Boxing Board of Control General Secretary Simon Block has asked if Harrison would be willing to fight British heavyweight champion Scott Gammer.
Both Warren and Harrison - who have had a previously strained relationship it but are now singing very much from the same hymn sheet - indicated they would be keen on the fight.
If a clash with Gammer cannot be made, then a top 15 opponent is likely to be secured.
One man who will not be in the opposite corner in February is Matt Skelton, who cannot ready for any fight with Harrison until April at the earliest because of a hand injury that kept him out of a Commonwealth title defence at the weekend.
Having appeared cool on a Skelton fight at the weekend following his career-best win over Danny Williams, Harrison rekindled interest by suggesting it would be a world title perfect eliminator for later in the year.
World titles are very much the target , with Warren insisting he would deliver a shot within the UK if Harrison continued to rise up the rankings.
"I'll be looking for Audley to have two more fights and then a world title shot," said Warren today. "It will be here in Britain lilke we have previously done with Frank Bruno and Herbie Hide.
"This is the start of it and in 2007 he's got to carry it on. He's got to build on the good performance and convince everyone he is worthy of fighting for the world title."
Looking relaxed now that the embarrassment of the first Williams loss has finally been addressed, Harrison insisted that he was still on course to fulfil his dream of becoming undisputed world champion.
And he indicated there would be no easy options, adding that he would be targeting the man seen as the world's number one,IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko.
"I want to scale Everest, not Snowdonia," said Harrison. "It's better to have tried and failed than not to have tried at all. I want to climb Everest and now people are helping to push me up there.
"I'd prefer the best one (world champion) which is Klitschko, because there is the appeal of him being an Olympic gold medallist like me and the fact he boxed Calvin Brock and Samuel Peter who were in Sydney with me.
"Frank Warren is a big promoter. I had my own vision, my own goals but I have decided to join forces. It's all about my goal of winning a world title. A-Force have been a great team and they will continue to be a great team aiding Frank Warren.
"I have come back to the UK, and now its about trying to get a world title and having Frank Warren on board will make things better."
