heavyweight terms i think larry holmes equaled it.
as for the lower weights then plenty of people have.

nope holmes didnt. he was 49-0.but valuev is 45-0

Holmes came very close to tying the record but unfortunately many believe he was robbed of a decision when he fought Michael Spinks in his 49th fight.

The record was never 49-0, but to retire with that number. Plenty of fighters did better than 49-0 but then lost or drew before retiring.
No, no one has ever beaten the record.
