It could be because he knew the guys he was fighting weren't quick enough to catch him clean. I think we'll see a much more technically sound Mayweather on May 5th. He will be fighting to win, not try to put on a show like he has against Gatti. In the Judah fight he was fighting very conservatively early because Judah was fast enough to catch him and strong enough to hurt him
