He's the defenition of mind over matter.

"I want to fight on," said Hopkins "Rumble, young man, rumble. Until I get a busted lip. I've never had a busted lip my whole career.

Should have known. None seem satisified with going out on top. Hopkins will keep going until he gets his ass handed to him; but he did look good against Tarver, so I can't blame him. Though, I will say Tarver, I think, was suffering from weight drain like Jones did in their first match...still, B-Hopp completely outclassed him.

B-Hopp very well could be an Archie Moore type. We'll see.

Even if, he'll go out on his shield. He's not the kind of guy that will simply fold and wilt like an over matched, washed up Whitaker, Roy, or Holy.

More than likely he'll stay too long, but he's still too mean to get his ass handed to him. I'm 100% sure he'd turn a boxing match into an outright steet brawl if that happens and if you see him fight Bell....it's over.

That's easily a fight of the year candidate.

Well, it's interesting to think about, no doubt. Personally, I'd rather see that one than the Maskaev thing he keeps pursuing. Go get the Cruiserweight division, let Makaev and Klitschko put some heavyweight belts together...then see what you wanna do. That would be better for boxing IMO, anyway.

Since everything from Light Heavyweight to Heavyweight is absolutely ****ed anyway, Hopkins might as well march through those divisions picking up belts and making his legacy better. The sport is irrepairable in the upper divisions as long as these heavyweights persist and O'Neil Bell and Jean Mormeck are the top cruiserweights. They both only fight once a year.
