Ok, so the question is, do the fight scenes look more realistic than previous Rocky movies or are they the same Rocky taking unrealistically large amounts of power punches to the head and coming back like nothing happened?

    No spoilers please.

To me, II still owns the best fight scene. The one in this one added a new dimension becaus it was shot with a video camera apparently, so it has that HBO feel.....to say nothing of the commentary.

On a side note, I never would have thought Larry Merchant would have such a hard time playing himself.

So basically it looks like an HBO broadcast with Rocky's typical no-defense style of boxing and who can take the most punishment wins the fight.

Ehhh, not exactly; but I need to tell you this.....the movie is not really about the fight, not mainly anyway.

                  The movie is a tear-jerker.

The fight scene I thought was more realistic than all of them or most (although that is not what its about). There was more defense and the end of round flurries were there. I won't go into detail though, go watch and see for yourself.

Actually for me the best line of the movie was classic Larry Merchant: " Why are they calling it an Exhibition, because they couldn't call it an Executions..." Larry crack me up!! That was vintage Merchant!!

I'm going to see this movie tonight. I read all the reviews and I think I'm gonna love it.

I really loved 1 the best of them all. Just the fact that Stalone wrote it and he was flat broke and it really showed thru in his character as to how Rokcy Balboa really was, and it definitely deserved the oscar it won.
