Former light heavyweight champion Antonio Tarver is doing plenty of media interviews with respect to his role as Mason Dixon in Rocky 6. In a recent conference call with the press, Tarver was asked about the sport of boxing being a very popular theme for movies, and if there is a crossover of new fans as a result. It helps that Oscar is Mexican, speaks Spanish and English, attracts women, is very talented, fights good fighters, and doesn't lose 12 rounds to a 40+ year old guy moving up 2 weight classes.

When he was in the olympics they did a huge story on him and how he dedicated his medal to his mother who had just passed away . That was the start of it all . Next he was signed straight to HBO and became some what of a teen idol 'as far as the girls at least'. He just always had something that made people want to see him .
