    Frank Warren does it again

Yup, after Frank Maloney's offer of £150,000 for Maccarenelli to fight Haye on a Sky Sports card with no titles attached Warren has rejected it saying that it is not enough. For the record, thats about $280,000 for a non title fight not being shown in the States - not bad eh? But no, Warren doesnt want it. This despite the fact that Haye is no 1 with the WBC, and so victory would mean a higher chance of Macca actually fighting world champ O'Neill Bell, and despite Warren saying he's so confident that Macca would beat Haye that he would pack the game in should he lose.

Warren has no confidence in any of his fighters. He hasnt made any kind of counter offer to try and get this excellent fight on. No, instead Macca will defend his WBO bull**** ****ing title until the ****ing cows come home, and Haye - hopefully - will go on to challenge for true world titles and then move up to the heavyweight division. Frank Warren is ruining British boxing by protecting his fighters like this. Amir Khan - are you watching? Get out and sign with Mick Hennessy or Fight Academy. Frank Warren will do absolutely **** all for your career pal. This is utter ****e. Warren should grow some ****ing balls and put Macca in with Haye asap. It's a fight that needs to happen.

no way will warren ever let enzo fight haye, cos he knows haye would prob win, after this he will say haye has dodged enzo. I do think this offer means that haye is having trouble trying to get the bell fight, bell should get of his arse and fight haye early next year or get striped of his belt.

Let the fight grow abit I say. A WBC/WBO unification bout with American TV would be big news, between two big hitters - let them KO a few more guys first and make it even more exciting.

I dont think they will fight in the near future, as if haye does get his title shot he will move straight up to heavy. and enzo will prob stay at crusier at least for the next few years, its a shame cos it would be a great fight.

warren a few months back was going on about how he was trying to get the fight with haye but haye's team keept shoting down his offers and that enzo would beat him any day of the week, and now that haye's team have put down a fairly good deal and he has refused it he looks like an idiot.

Promoter Frank Warren has rejected European cruiserweight champion David Haye's offer to fight Wales' WBO champion Enzo Maccarinelli.

Haye's team have offered Maccarinelli £150,000 for the fight, but Warren said the sum was not enough and added that Haye had demanded £250,000.
"Enzo is world champion and should be taking the lion's share," said Warren.
"Asking for £250,000 for Haye is outrageous. If Haye is so confident, he should step up and take a few risks."
Warren added: "Haye fights in front of a few hundred people at (London's) York Hall.
"Meanwhile, Maccarinelli is a genuine world champion, appears on prime time ITV and personally sold 3,000 tickets for one of his fights."

A clash between Maccarinelli and Londoner Haye has been mooted for some time.Maccarinelli, 26, has lost one of his 26 fights and claimed his world title this year when long-time champion Johnny Nelson retired.
After the first defence of his crown, a one-round defeat of Mark Hobson in October, he said he wanted to challenge WBC and WBA title-holder O'Neil Bell of Jamaica.
Haye, also 26, has lost one of his 18 encounters and made three defences of his European crown.
His clash with Italy's Giacobbe Fragomeni was billed as an eliminator for the WBC belt, but Haye's team say they now want Maccarinelli in April.
"We're looking at doing a no strings and no titles-attached 12-rounder for April," said Haye's manager and trainer Adam Booth.
"It is a fight everyone in Britain, and given the rankings and reputations both fighters are gaining, the world will want to see.
"I'm not sure whether it is Warren or Maccarinelli shying away from the fight. It must be one of them though."
However, Warren claimed Booth suggested he was not interested in the fight in previous discussions. "Adam Booth has gone on record to say they are interested, but I've had conversations with him and he has told me they are looking to go in a different direction."

Ah for ****s sake. This had the potential to be one of the fights of 2007.

He's right on the money front though - you can't expect the champion to only take just over a third of the purse.
