Don't get mixed up. Of course they are top oppositions . . . based on standings, but skills? They are simply not in the class of Rafa.

Same as in this case though. I wouldn't consider Vasquez in the class of Rafa, Vasquez is simply a dangerous opponent who's very capable of producing an upset. If Vasquez can survive Rafa's best shots then I can see Rafa being in trouble.

I thought the Austin fight was pretty competitive and actually Marquez seemed a bit tentative until that big right hand landed, the second fight with Mabuza was competitive as well until the last few rounds. I see what you're saying about these guys not being in his level but who else is there available for him that's better than these guys?

Rafa is one of the best out-there but at then end of of day I think that Israel is just too strong. He took an absolute peppering from Jhonny and still had enough to throw those big shots.

Marquez is no Johnny Gonzalez, if he hurts you, you're history.

I agree. But you can't dismiss Jhonny as a nobody.

All 3 (Rafa, Israel, and Jhonny) are amazing fighters. Israel is just a beast though, Marquez needs to box. If he opens up the way Jhonny did, then I think it ends in the same result.

Those are top opposition no doubt!

Austin at the time was considered the best in his division, and a dangerous Champion. I think he was close to being in the pound 4 pound but there was nobody there for him at the time to fight and King didn't really push Austin on the public. I don't think anybody should sell Austin short because he was KO'd by Marquez. And Mabuza gave Marquez some trouble and was a top contender who may be Champion once Marquez moves up. Marquez has fought some very good competition. I don't think anybody at first gave him a chance against Mark Johnson and we know what he did to him.

I think Marquez has two times better skills then Vasquez. Vasquez is good but he don't have the boxing skills Marquez has. But Vasquez is a proven warrior as is Marquez. But Marquez is the better sound boxer. I've seen Vasquez fight to his opponets level and Marquez can drown him in a boxing match. This will be a great fight.
