early round knockout fighters...thoughts and opinions

when a fighter goes through most of his career knocking people out early,do you think that later in his career it could come back on him, when he is no longer able to knock people out, will his lack of ring experience go against him and cost him big time?

depends...hearns was starching out guys for years and it didn't effect his growth one bit. i personally think it is all about keeping in shape and training on off-time in the months between fights that keep you sharp. i personally think that is the most important part of combat sports like boxing.

i think its the lack of stamina more than the lack of rounds that effects them in later fights against world class opposition

            depends on the fighter.

tyson had a lot of early kos but still had very good stamina back in the days, as you would have to if you had a style like his. he went 12 in two of his title-winning fights and also went 12 versus ruddock, stopped ribalta in 10.

Not really, because in sparring they'd be going a lot of rounds and yet still going through the emotions/experiences in front of the crowds and camera's etc on fight nights. But maybe.
