I'm not racist, I just don't like "thug" fighters.

And i'm getting sick and tired of yall insecure lil guys talking about who does Floyd think he is calling himself the greatest of all time. Who cares and he supposed to think that of himself, he is a fighter, he is upposed to think he is bad man or he is losing before gets in the ring. FACT is the guy hasn't loss, has made history and accomplished things that only the best sport have ever accomplished. They guy is 4 time champ in 4 diffrent wieght classes and he has won in all those weight classes convincingly despite size and strength of his opposition. So he is an all time great, and time will tell if he is the top all time great. And if he is not his name will still be mentioned with those greats!!! So yall need to get off of that and just say yall want to see him lose. It's OK to root for the underdog but stop making excusing like he is some thug and too arrogant.

Being that it reaches the hip-hop community would hopefully make more boxing fans.
Very true! Boxing and Hip hop is a good thing for sure!

He didnt settle out of court. He was proven innocent cause the chick said she lied. If you are going to type something and act like you know it make sure you do otherwise you just look like a dumb ass.

James Toney is a reformed thug and drug dealer who just likes to play the role to intimidate opponents and hype himself up, IMO.

Zab Judah is just an idiot.

I just explained that I don't like Malignaggi for the same reason. Read my post. I never said that no white fighters act in this manner.

Some of my favorite fighters, Sam Peter, Edison Miranda, Lamon Brewster, Danny Williams, etc are black but I just can't go for the thug thing. It's against almost everything I stand for to be so flashy and materialistic and to condone casual violence with guns.

This does not make me a racist. I just don't like that lifestlye/image.
Arrogant additude does not equal thug. There is nothing thuggish about Floyd Mayweather or James Toney. Shannon Briggs neither. The thug mentality means you werent smart enough to make it as far as they have in the first place.

Then again, i grew up in the projects so my understanding is probably going to be a bit deeper than your own, but just think about it in that sense.

He never settled for that and if he did that doesn't prove guilt, that just gets the problem resolved, but he settled with the bouncer that he got into a fight with so he could just go ahead and fight gatti, numb nutz!

Sugar Ray Leonard's drug/alcohol abuse and abuse of Juanita during his "retirement" after 1982 is pretty well known, and Leonard even admitted it in a press conference in the early 1990s, apologizing for his previous actions.

For the info on Ray Robinson, you should watch the HBO documentary "Bright Lights and Dark Shadows". They give some detail on his personal problems and abuse of his wife/kids as well as pretty good footage/info on his fight career.

As for Joe Louis, he stated in his autobiography that he punched one of his mistresses (I think Lena Horne) and then nearly killed her. Luckily someone was there to stop him when he was choking her.
