    Comeback of the year(2006)?

    This is the only year end award that im really having some trouble deciding on the winner.There's a handful of good canidates for comeback of the year.What are your thoughts?Vote now!

    1.Wlad Klitchko-A championship win over Chris Byrd,and one title defense against top ten ranked Calvin Brock.

    2.Shane Mosley-Two wins over Fernando Vargas,one by KO.

    3.Oscar De La Hoya-impressive championship win over Mayorga.

    4.Oleg Maskaev-Knocked out top heavyweight Rahman for WBC crown.made first title defense against journeyman Peter Okhello.

    5.Shannon Briggs-Victory's over journeymen ****y Ryan and Chris Koval.Knocks out Lyakovich for WBO crown.

    6.Bernard Hopkins-after two consecquetive(SP?)controversial losses to Jermain Taylor,he moves up in weight and virtually shuts out the light heavyweight champion.

    -Im sure there's other good candidates.But these are just off the top of my head.

    Maskaev or Hopkins for sure.

    Edit: I'm going with Maskaev. People thought he was garbage and that Rahman would knock him out in a few rounds, but he surprised almost everyone. Everyone knew Hopkins would at least be competitive with Tarver, even in losing.

          I knew Hopkins would beat Tarver. He was lethargic most of his two fighs with Johnson so I knew this would play right into the fight plan of Hopkins.

          Maskaev...he came back from the dead. He was KO'd by Lance Whitaker! Jeez! Now he's heavyweaight champion.

                    Good question, I need to think about this.

                    I definitely WON'T pick Maskaev, as his "comeback" involved:

                    1. KOing someone he'd already KO'd in the past anyway;

                    2. An opponent who was ludicruously overrated.

                    But the rest I need to think about... no, probably not Mosley, either. His opponent didn't have a lot to offer, that's fool's gold. You could maybe say that for The Acting Amigo as well. Hopkins... never really went away IMO, considering Taylor didn't beat him. Wlad... looks good on paper, but beat two guys who offered him no real threat.

                    Screw it, I'll go with Hopkins.
