i hate how people say that, just because a prospect struggles with a great fighter, hes been exposed...

thats about as far from the truth as possible. Thats an outstanding learning experience for him, and he should come out of it a much better fighter.

Hes a very entertaining fighter, tough as nails, got some very good middleweight power... should only be a few more years before he makes his splash among the elite.

i would LOVE to see more of this guy. All his fights are SO incredibly entertaining, i became a fan of his last night, and he didnt even win!
Just to be honest..I look forward to Litzau being pushed forward because people think he's exciting and getting laid out a couple more times. If Micky Ward or Joe Frazier had his chin..well..those names wouldn't mean ****.

A bad chin and bad defense makes for a ton of excitment though...

Maybe Joe Frazier and Micky Ward wouldnt have lasted as long, but their fights may have had more seasaw action, they would have been in some OTHER great fights that werent originally great.

If his "micky ward" comes along, you would see a fight where he is close to being knocked out, gets knocked down a few times, but uses his power and superior boxing skill to pull out a late round KO.

it would fantastic and i can see that fight happening. Im excited for when it does

I'm going to respectfully disagree. If Litzau's only career options are to scour the planet for another defense lacking fighter to have a battle with- or get laid out- well...good luck. He can be a B class fighter who gets his skull cracked by hard punchers with decent skills and I'll forget he is alive. I don't hate him...I just don't see anything to latch onto about him. Just me.

I dont know how a 35 year old campas fighting @ middlewieght is a "great" fighter or how getting buckled by that fighter at least 2x makes makes duddy "tough as nails."

Thats just it,the only reason anybody gave a f_ck about Litzau,is because he was white.
That's inaccurate. Sure, whiteness has partial blame here, but Litzau is genuinely a solid fighter and should have won the fight. He makes for good fights due to his aggression and suspect chin. White or black, this makes him an attraction.

I just dont see it.I dont say that to argue or anything, but just being honest,Hernandez had garbage defense and was there to get hit with everything.

Kendall Holt should be a superstar by now.

Litzau is ****y and he was showing promising signs of a future champion. The reason I was impressed is because I never seen a "white" American fighter fight with the skills that he fights with. But, he is undisciplined and that is what is going to ruin his career.

He sounds a bit like Kevin Mitchell, has the skills but just loves to fight too much.

In some respects its odd that the US hasn't got many good white fighters, with only Paulie Malignaggi and Kelly Pavlik really springing to mind at the moment. I guess there just isn't much of an interest in boxing among white kids, even those from the inner cities. There seems to be a real boxing culture among black and Latino youths in the states which has kept boxing alive in the US.
