I think the $3 million offer is bull****. You only earn that kind of money from PPV's, how can Kessler's promoters pay that amount, and have any money left for himself? Considering he claims he would also give UK rights to Calzaghe, so wheres the $3 million going to come from? Manny Pacquio made $3 million from his Morales fight, I don't see Palle offering the same amount.

Palle probably meant 3 million in Danish currency, which is around $530,000.

Beyer's got some talent, but has never really had the desire necessary for the top.
He's had numerous patchy performances before this one, and I would of thought he'd welcome the chance to retire & take the pressure off of himself, because he doesn't seem to be able to handle it very well.

Think his promoters are behind this one - pressuring Beyer for one last big fight for some money, but I don't see Calzaghe giving him a match, & Kessler would only do so if he can't find any big money fights for the year
(a Beyer rematch would still command a decent payday for Kessler)

Beyer's best performance was against Danny Green in the rematch, after getting a gift DQ in the first.
Beyer that night showed what he was capable of, giving an excellent boxing performance, keeping the dangerous Green off-balance & frustrated for much of the match.
However, that seems to his pinnacle, & doubt he'd ever come close to it again.
