    Ronnie Hearns Just...

put it on that ass like his dad used to. Right cross just flattened his opponent (who happened to be a tomato can) but it was still a thing of beauty. Guy was laid flat out like Tommy used to do em.

i saw that fight too, nice left uppercut to set up the right cross, same combo dropped him both times....

did you see the other fight on the card with the left handed guy who was afraid to fight and then got KO'ed?

I've heard about Ronald, but haven't seen any of his fights and can't find any footage.

Whats his fighting style like, and does he seem like a chip off the ole block (I'm praying you say yes to the last question)

its hard to say how good he is at this point, he has cashed out 5 of the last 6 guys he has fought with the first good shots he landed......

and to clarify the fight we are speaking about wasnt ronalds most recent fight, it was just an FSN replay of an untelevised card of his bout versus jeffrey osborne...

ronald hearns is a TOP LEVEL PROSPECT, he can be a champ

ill say it right now, he has a lot to prove yet as far as toughness and chin but i like to make my predictions and stick by em, he is gonna be a legit contender..... why???

ronald has an excellent jab, which alone can win him a lot of fights at middleweight, considering he is all of 6'3... very imposing physically and looks just like his father towering over his opponents.... his overhand right is developing nicely, as stated, he murdered this poor fella osborne with it.. he has a mean streak too he finishes when people are hurt that is immediately obvious having seen him him a couple times. throws nice uppercut and combos, i cant say he is his dad yet (no way he has the p4p power ever), but hes built to fight like him and hes trained to do so...

ill take him over andre ward, for instance... and even though it would never happen i would love to see an undeated prospect vs undefeated prospect fight between he and duddy somewhere down the line.

He fights alot like his dad but he has less pop.. still a semi-hard hitter though.

Sons of great ones often disappoint but I, too, like Ronald Hearns enough to expect good things from him.

It's tough to say exactly where he is with his skills development: a good majority of his fights did not last long enough to provide a good gauge. And his longest fight had him facing an opponent who was so overwhelmed. He's 11 of 11, with 9 KOs and 7 of those stoppages came in the first round. He was not really tested. His longest outing was against Hector Hernandez-- it went six rounds--but as early as the first he had KD'd Hernandez, before pummelling Hernandez about half a dozen more times in the subsequent rounds (didn't really count but I recall there were several). The ref finally and mercifully called a halt to the slaughter in the 6th. Hernandez had a solitary defeat in 9 fights going in. Hearns was then 8-0

Hearns fought last week in Little Rock, AR. Dispatched Robert Smallwood with 5 seconds remaining in the first. I just read about it and haven't caught the action by any method. I hope they have it now at YouTube.

The skills are there...it's just a matter of his defense and chin holding up to big punchers.

He does have a good jab and a strong right hand behind it. I haven't really seen the left hook yet, but he also hasn't had anyone in front of him long enough to see all of his tricks.
