I totally understand this becasue I feel the same way about Lennox. I always wanted him to lose even though he was an excellent champion. Wlad still has to clean up the division before he earns everyone's respect.

this is why they need to pull this unification fight with Maskaev off, just imagine what that will do to Don King a unification fight with him not being involved in it, I bet he will do everything in his power for it not to happen..

Alright, I get your point. But I don't see the reason why Toney or Peter's people would object to fighting the winner of Klitschko-Maskaev. Either way(Klitschko, Maskaev) its a bigger fight because Peter or Toney will be fighting for both the IBF and WBC. I think its a win-win for everbody, but what the hell do I know?

i agree with this, i was about to post the same basic thing

youd have to assume that toney or peter would likely make 3 times fighting klitschko what they would make fighting maskaev, and klitschko obviously eill beat maskaev, so this is the only way for either to become the "true" heavyweight champ within 6-8 months

not only that but king knows if wladamir can unify WBC and IBF he will have all the leverage on his champs at the bargaining table, and if king tries to avoid a total unification it will look bad as obviously wladamir is making every effort to get it done.....

its more important for wladamir to unify heavyweight boxing fans cause the pressure and demands of the public are probably the only thing that can bend don kings will and force valuev or briggs/igbraminov into the ring with a real fighter.
