It's sad really because a hopstep-setup like that is usually too slow to land in a streetfight.

I have this fight and it's really a great HW fight. Moorer had good power at HW, but his power at 175 was the best I've ever seen, his chin was not as good at the HW division. Moorer at 175 was scary, his handspeed and power was great for that weight.

This was a great fight, the KO combo was awesome. It was very dramatic and brutal. Moorer at his best.

Oh for real, Cooper had Moorer out in that first round but got a little over anxious and found himself almost done in the first stanza as well. That was a war, but Cooper broke down when he got tired and mentally quit really.

....I forgot about that one. The ref saved Moorers ass and Bert was ****** for not going back to the neutral corner. Smokin Bert was a gamer for sure.

However brief it may have been a Tyson/Cooper fight would have been fun to watch had Carl Williams not upset Cooper and ruined the plans for that title fight to take place in Dec of '87 (that version of Cooper was a little more "springy" than what we later saw of him in the Moorer & Holyfield fights).

I wonder how great Michael Moorer would have been if he had a chin.

I would love to see how Tyson would have reacted to a Cooper shot. Cooper was a seriously underrated puncher IMO. Holyfield claims he hit harder than Tyson, at least the version of Tyson Holyfield beat the **** out of. I think it's safe to say that Cooper hit harder than anyone Tyson faced up to 1987.

Now Tyson probably takes him down good and hard in the end but Cooper would have brought it to Tyson and I have a feeling he would have landed some hard punches early on. We would have seen just what a prime Tyson really had for a ticker.
