Gomez Joines the long "I want Klitschko!" line

Here's the bottom line. I've actually heard good things about Gomez from a friend of mine whose opinion I respect; but, at this point in time, with the division as diluded as it is, he has done nothing to warrant a title shot.....not that McCline or Okhello have either; but the line must be drawn somewhere.Comment

Don't let Paul750 see this thread.
The first thing he'll explain is how Wlad won't last 1 round and Gomez is actually the Heavyweight Champion of the World in Disguise.

I've noticed lately that alot of heavyweight fighters think that they deserve a shot at Klitschko or any of the other titlists without fighting any opponents who may be considered "risky" to get them that title shot. For example, Kevin Mcbide waited around for months and months for a shot at Liakhovich because he thought that he deserved a shot for beating Tyson. Point is, he thought that he could get a shot by travelling the "path of least resistence" and we all know how that story ended.
Other fighters who have recently called out Klitschko(Minto, Harrison, Gomez, etc.) also have the same mentality of Mcbride; take the road of least resistence and avoid the risky fights and hope that's enough for a title shot. This just doesn't cut it in my (fight) book and I hope that no one else gets to travel this easy route.Comment

What is is that makes all of them think that they're good enough to fight for the title. First Harrison thinks that defeating Williams lands him a title shot, now this... They must be getting hit in their head much worse lately...Comment
