Wladimir Klitschko is the IBF Heavyweight Champion, so the intercontinental title will get you an IBF top 10 ranking and the leverage to a shot at the world title.

    Why fight Wladimir Klitschko though?

Wladimir Klitschko is the # 1 rated heavyweight fighter in The Ring rankings and the 1996 Olympic Super Heavyweight Champion.

Oleg Platov is a Ukrainian heavyweight who recently beat British heavyweight Henry Akinwande via a split decision.

Platov is regarded as one of Europe’s leading young prospects having only lost once in his 6th fight which he later reversed… he’s beaten every man that’s put in front of him.

The Ukrainian youngster would be a very good preparation for the real thing in Wladimir Klitschko.

If Audley wants to retire the undisputed heavyweight champion he needs to devise a plan to get out of the game at the right time and healthy.

Audley should fight 3 times a year with the goal of accumulating 30 wins.

This SHOULD be Audley’s fight plan:

    ~ 2007 ~
    Oleg Platov (IBF Intercontinental Title)
    Wladimir Klitschko (IBF Heavyweight Title)
    Shannon Briggs (WBO Heavyweight Title)

    ~ 2008 ~
    Nikolay Valuev (WBA Heavyweight Title)
    Oleg Maskaev (WBC Heavyweight Title)
    Dominick Guinn (Revenge)

    ~ 2009 ~
Calvin Brock (2000 Super Heavyweight Olympian)
Samuel Peter (2000 Super Heavyweight Olympic Quarter Finalist)
    Alexander Povetkin (Retirement Fight)

He’ll retire with a 30-2 record as the WBC-WBA-WBO-IBF Heavyweight Champion after beating every man put in front of him, whilst passing the torch to Alexander Povetkin.

Audley has only got 3 more years in this game before he reaches 38, the perfect age to retire for a heavyweight.

Audley doesn’t need Skelton, there’s no sense in fighting Matt Skelton now, and he needs to fight Oleg Platov, plain and simple.

what do you think? do you agree?

ok lets take what you said....
oleg platov - close fight could go either way
Klitschko KO Harrison by round 8
Briggs by KO as soon as he lands a punch
Valuev by UD or TKO.... audley ahs no shot at beting him.
Audley - Maskaev - too close to call
Audley vs Dominic Guinn..... WHO THE F*** CARES!

by 2009 calvin brock will be a lot better than he is now and beat audley
in 2009 Samuel Peter will decapitate Audey if hes still living after somehow getting by briggs klitschko valuev maskaev and all the other people.

and Alexander Povetkin would beat Audley right now, he doesnt even need 3 years to develop.
    KEEP DREAMING!.

Also by that time, maskaev wouldn't ahve the WBC title, peter or toney or klitschko likely will, none of which audley will have a shot against.

      13 Henry Akinwande
      14 Shane Cameron
      15 Eddie Chambers

I honestly don't see either Harrison OR Platov in top 15 ranking of IBF. So, what you're saying is that if Harrison (not in top 15) fights Platov (not in top 15), then he is propelled into the top spot of the IBF rankings and is entitled to the title shot against arguably the best HW in the world today? LOL

I did see what Harrison did to Williams who took the fight on 1 week's notice but somehow I don't see your logic about everything else you say.

          I THINK
You need to come back down to EARTH BOY.....
You done gone and hitched a ride on the ROCKET to DREAMSVILLE..
Audley hasn't even proven he is the best in the UK yet..Thats WHY he needs to fight Skelton..
he has done **** to deserve a title shot .. He needs to fight Guinn before he gets a shot .. he needs to beat a top 10er before he gets a shot
Then you have him Sweeping the belts.. Like Audley is gonna magically get through all the politics and ABCs and DON KING and land 4 consecutive Title fights like its the easiset most natural thing? And then You ACTUALLY have him beating All the belt Holders..
And all of this based on a 3 round pummeling of a guy EVEN Matt Skelton outboxed...
"What do I think? do I agree" ???

I think you are either Fruitlooped,****** or maybe just star struck
          Whatever your affliction..
          I am afraid I DISAGREE

Platov recently beat Henry Akinwande, so if audley beats him, he would be in his place in the rankings you have shown.

He should fight guinn asap, possible in feb then he should fight skelton then, he could get a shot at the WBO title if he wins both, but if he loses one of them badly i still think his career would be all but over.

Why doesn't Audley target a fight with the British commonwealth champ Scott Gammer? And forget about Skelton right now because he's injured and who knows how long it will take him to recover.

i think if skelton is out for more than 5-6months he should forget it and go for gammer just so he's got a british title on him, I think with frank warren on board he could get a shot at the WBO title, but would warren set up a harrison gammer fight.
