    That Larry Merchant quote...

...can someone help me out? I'm trying to figure out what that Merchant quote was on Hopkins, it was something like "Hopkins used to be a lion that attacked his prey, now he's an old lion that stays back in the bushes and waits for something to come by", but I'm not sure of the exact wording.

    Can anyone help?

I think it was now he's a lion that waits in the weeds for something to past by.
I think its from the 2nd Hopkins fight

He didn't look that way in the Tarver fight.

I don't think it was Eastman. Hopkins beat Howard Eastman.

I'm pretty sure it was the second fight with Taylor.

It was against Taylor. He just meant that B-Hop couldn't pull the trigger anymore. But we all saw him against Tarver.

It was Howard Eastman, in their Feb 17, 2004 encounter.

Tarver was flat, not hard to look good against a flat fighter...karma, Tarver vs. Jones Jr.

Then again, maybe the extra weight made him feel fresh, but I still don't compare this version with the younger.
