    Open scoring

Was it just me or did the open scoring take something away from the final moments in the Taylor/Ouma fight on Saturday? I hated it and hope that the WBC get rid of it as soon as possible.

Well it didn't really take anything away from this fight since we all knew the outcome... but in future fights it could easily remove a lot of suspense and could easily lead to boring rounds if a fighter knows he can't lose assuming he doesn't have like a 10-8 round against him. I just don't see an upside to it.

For 12 rounders they anounced the official judges scoring every 4 rounds. I like it. I think is harder to steal a fight from a fighter, if he knows how crooked the judges are ealier in the fight(4th rnd). He will know that he has to pressure the action thus giving the public a more action packed fight. We 'll also get to know which fighters show no heart by coasting ( a la tito-de la Hoya fight) when they are ahead comfortably on the cards.

well i want to see it happen in a fight, where fighter A seems to have a good lead, but when the scores are announces after the 8th round, its a draw.

Those last 4 rounds would be MUCH more exciting then they would have been without the announcement. AND all controversy would be gone because FIGHTER A would fight out those last 4 rounds and try and win

It puts a lot more pressure on judges not to have ******ed scores. It does take away from the suspense of things though.

IMHO I watch boxing for the action and excitement, if I wanted suspense I would watch a movie.
