Has Valuev really been hit though? I just think that he is too slow to be able to land much against Wlad. It would probably pan out just like Wlad-Mercer with Wlad dishing out alot of punishment against a good chin, but too much in the end.

I agree. that would be an awful mismatch. the speed difference would just be criminal

valuev is a knockout waiting to happen against a big puncher like wlad. valuev has a good chin but the problem is he walks straight into shots. you cant do that against a sharp shooter. even light hitting monte barret seemed to daze him a bit when he caught him flush early in the fight. valuev will fall against a big straight puncher

Go watch Valuev's knees buckle when pillow fisted Barret lands an overhand right in round 1.

Then tell me Wlad wouldnt decapitate this sideshow.

His knees didn't really buckle but you're right about Wlad, first couple of right hands and either Wlad brakes his hand against Valuev's boulder on his shoulder or Valuev will get KOd.

I would rather prefer Klitschko-Briggs over any other fight...

the few contenders, anyway. And even then, Rahman beat himself. He could have easily laid back and popped the jab for the win, but much like in the Toney fight he kept coming forward as if he couldnt control himself.

no,,,rahman is just a bum. maskeav is a better fighter. he knocked him out 2 out of 2 times for crying out loud. maskeav throws his punches shorter with more leverage than rahman and the pebble just couldnt handle it

yeah maskaev turned it up and sharpened up in the championship rounds, which is what he trained to do and what he planned to do.. he executed and earned it... any excuses for rahman should be dismissed as there was no reason for anything but the best performance.

excuse me for analyzing the fight, because thats all I did and its no different than what Larry Merchant and the HBO crew were saying.
