I know this is a title eliminator but.......why has Castillo agreed to this fight, I cant see the benefits in the long term, the guy has fought 15 times so can anyone fill in the gaps because there has to be more to this?

I guess its just a settling in fight for castillo, and a showcase to set up a fight with Hatton.

Ngoudjo holds a very close win over Augustus (fairly controversial), but hasn't fought anyone vaguely as good as Castillo.

I guess this fight gets him a shot at Witter or Hatton so its a useful fight against a fighter castillo should mutilate.

Yeah it does look that way, its just surprising, I wouldn't have thought that at this stage in career he would have needed to take this sort of fight!

I suppose he is making the best of the time in between given what opportunities are out there!

I'm from Quebec (the Canadian province where Ngoudjo is fighting). I've seen most of his fights.

His win over Augustus was not contreversial ; Augustus spent like 6-7 round dancing... He decided to box in the last round and sent Ngoudjo to the ground, Ngoudjo was saved by the bell.

Ngoudjo won a controversial decision against a journeyman (Juan Carlos Rodriguez) ; most of us saw Rodriguez as the winner. He also really looked bad in his recent fight against another journeyman (Donald Camarena).

I really don't understand why Castillo decided to fight this guy, they are in two different classes. Ngoudjo won't even be able to offer a good performance. I guess Castillo wants something easy because of an important upcoming fight, or he just wants to stay active.

I guess its an easy title eliminator for Castillo. Good change for Ngoudjo to make his name too.
