I'll put points on Joe Calzaghe to humuiliate Jermain Taylor when the fight is announced, are you in? How much do you really believe in Taylor after tonight?Nobody in the Middleweight division can or will beat Taylor he has fought the best already. i thought he could have won the Winky fight, and he won both Hopkins fights like it or not. quit saying bull**** about there being a hype bubble because Taylor is not overrated if anything you guys are underrateing him with all this bull**** talk.Comment

I don't agree. Ouma is ALWAYS going to come forward. I think Taylor was giving himself his best chance to land clean by backing up and giving himself more room with his much longer arms, and when the distance was closed to nil, he tied up or circled out. I mean, he won every round and outworked a fighter who is never shutout or outworked. Ouma is always in phenomenal shape and has a good chin, or you'd have seen him out of there.
Taylor always seems a tad jittery early, and even moreso fighting in front of his home crowd. He was trying for the KO early for them, and needs to learn to chill with that. That one left-right-left that he landed in round 4 would have put down most fighters. I love Taylor's energy and agressiveness, even if it is a bit reckless at times. I'll take it over the "safe and boring" anyday. He knew he had the fight won, and was still trying to put Ouma in the 3rd row down the stretch.
Bottom line: Taylor=12 Ouma=0
Taylor did'nt look that good tonight but that still does'nt change the fact he won 11 rounds I had 1 round even, People will critize Taylor instead of giving credit to Ouma, that guy has a rock solid chin and never stops throwing, Taylor will just get better and he has not reached his prime years yet, He landed some hard shots on Ouma's chin that many middleweight could'nt probably take...Ouma is tough mother****er. The judge who scored it 115-113 should die and burn in hell. Boxingscene round by round gave JT 12 rounds as well. Expect more Taylor haters to come for the next few months and critisize him more, when they should be giving Credit to ouma that he was able to take what most Middleweights would'nt have took.Comment

I'd actually put points on Taylor fighting somebody other than Calzaghe and Calzaghe getting the blame for it. I mean, Calzaghe IS a Brit, of course he'd duck an American.
I'm serious about the first part, if the fight were not to come off, Calzaghe would no doubt get the blame for it.Comment

You have a pic of Ouma, so I'm not surprsied you think he won some rounds. You must've been sitting at Alltell arena drinking some Arkansas whiskey. That crowd was heavily in favor of Taylor and had an impact of the perception of the fight.
Ouma won more rounds than 2 of the judges saw fit to give him. Taylor ran backwards a lot and tied up like I've never seen before. Jim gave credit to Taylor's power for "stopping" Ouma when in actuality it was the holding that did the trick.Comment

Annie when the Taylor vs Calzaghe fight is there, I will bet Taylor will beat Calzaghe. One thing we all agree on is Taylor is fighting the best, I have had him winning all three fights with Hopkins and Winky, although they were very close fights, Jermain is'nt even in his prime right now, next year you will see what JT is made off.
And someone needs to give Ouma credit instead of critisizing taylor, ouma has a good chin. Taylor won the fight easily, 11 rounds to 1 even. Boxingscene has 12 rounds to JT, ESPN has it 12 rounds as well.Comment
