    Sad Intentions

First of all... 117-114 Taylor. (I gave Ouma some even rounds).

But what the f... was THAT?

I'll confess I've only seen Taylor in his four title fights, but in every one of them he's looked dreadful, this being no exception. Okay, the first three he gets the pass - if you're fighting Winky and even an aged Hopkins you're not gonna look great.

But being backed up all night by a man who looks about half your size? Putting on a negative performance in front of your home town? Sure, he was edging most of the rounds on power, but could easily have had a point taken for all the holding he was doing. He looked dreadful. How embarrassing for the undisputed middleweight champion of the world to spend the night backing up and initiating clinches with a guy so much smaller and without the power to hurt him.

Backing up is part of his style of fighting. I dont see much that's sad about winning almost all rounds in a title fight...

Taylor really disappointed me. I knew he looked bad in his last 3 fights but I figured it was because it's virtually impossible to look good against Bernard Hopkins and Winky Wright, it just doesn't happen. They have the styles needed to make a great fighter look like ****, which is what Taylor looked like IMO.

Ouma is a tough fighter, so let's get that out of the way first off. But that doesn't clear away the fact that Taylor looked like ****. Yeah, Ouma is tough. But he's not THAT tough. There's no logical reason why a guy half your size is backing you down all night and you're ballroom dancing with him every round.

              Cheers man.

Oh, I FORGOT... why don't they just put Taylor in 11 round fights? Cos he seems to think he is.

Let's not forget the entire POINT of this match-up was a "gimme" to make Taylor look good in front of his home crowd.

If you score this fight 117-114 for Taylor, now I understand why you had Taylor losing some of his fights. I couldn't find a round to give to Ouma.

Styles makes fights, Taylor won every round and did not use his jab in this fight at all, he also wanted to get a KO, which will never happen without using the jab first.

Taylor did what he had to do to win, Ouma is no Robin Reid, the same guy that was robbed against Calzaghe!
