I'm surprised as many here are, of Audley's exciting performance last night. But, I'm not convinced by this single performance, that Harrison has got the "goods" to hang with any of the top ten or even the top twenty heavyweights for that matter, and mount any kind of successful ascend into the elite heavyweights of today. Sure, on any given night a decent heavyweight who's in good shape and has any kind of boxing skills, can look really exciting and can get a great win but; if this guy wants to do anything with his career then he'll have to be more consistent and step up on the nights when things aren't going to plan.

Point is, I'm not even near close to considering that Audley can do anything meaningful in the division today. He looked great last night but the question is; can he do it over and over again against better opponents? And until I see something that tells me otherwise, I don't believe he can.

I was also impressed with Harrison last night, though Williams was clearly not at his best Audley was sharp and showed a killer instinct.
I don't think people should get too caried away with this win,he needs to take on Skelton then maybe rematch Guinn before talking about world titles imo.

I never ever wrote off Audley like some people. He was an olympic champ and the heavy division is dire at the moment. That is enuf reason for me to know Audley had a chance, just so long as he prepared himself. I am not getting too carried away with last nights performance as well. Danny is very limited and has beeen for a while. He is a journeyman.
But if Toney is doing so well as a heavyweight Audley has got a chance even against the Klitschos. There is not much difference. I want to see him against Skelton now though.

Decent performance but i disagree with whoever sed that he wasnt phased when williams came at him in the 2nd, i think there were signs of panic all over him. If he gets tagged by an aggressive, hard hitting heavyweight who has a bit more in the tank than williams (i have sam peter in mind) he will fall to pieces. He might have been 'in a good place' for the fight yesterday but u cant change ur heart and mental make up and the fact is audely ****s himself when he gets hit.
My understanding of audely is that all his fights from now until the end of his career will be won and lost in the first round. If he establishes himself early (As with williams and some of his early fights against crash test dummys) he'll win, otherwise he'll revert to plodding and pushing with his jab

He knew he needed to let his hands go more, he said as much after the Guinn fight. I think he has realised that getting humiliated in for not trying is actually worse than going out on your shield like Williams did last night. Straight away he was out throwing good, quick accurate shots. His footwork was good, he turned Williams well, he showed good power and was RELATIVELY calm under pressure. I would have to agree that I still think someone like Samuel Peter, James Toney, and DEFINITELY Wlad Klitschko would beat him, but he can at least do something with his career now, whereas previous to this it appeared he was finished. Let's hope that the Skelton fight gets made, then the European and then maybe have a crack at a world title. He could beat Maskaev, Valuev and maybe outbox Briggs but he will never be disputed while Peter, Toney and Klitschko are around. And Ruslan Chagaev would give him a decent scrap. To be honest, I might fancy Skelton to beat him still given his uncompromising style, although I guess after last night's performance perhaps you would have to favour Audley. Certainly was the best performance so far out of the Danny/Audley/Skelton triangle that's going at the minute. As for Williams, I hope he doesnt retire but that's just being selfish. He probably will and probably should hang em up now.

Thanks for a great career, Dan.

Audley had an off night, as he was very good.
Sharpe punches great shape and he has got himself some balls from somewhere.
Williams even look in shape, far better than the skelton fight.
Williams was a wasted talent, he had everything fast hands, great right hook could and should have been a champ to laid back.
