Both champion Oleg Maskaev (33-5, 26 KOs) and his opponent Peter Okhello (18-4, 16 KOs) appeared to be in good physical and mental shape at today’s weigh-in in Olympiysky Sports Arena, Moscow, for their upcoming WBC heavyweight title clash, the first ever championship collision in the most prestigious weight division to be held in Russia. The fight card, with four more bouts filling the undercard, will start Sunday at 8PM LT in Olympiysky Sports Arena. The main event is scheduled to begin at 10PM LT.

Oleg Maskaev 240 vs. Peter Okhello 255.5
(WBC Heavyweight title)
Alexander Povetkin 221.5 vs. Imamu Mayfield 208
Mikhail Nasyrov 191 vs. David Whittom 187.5
Dmitry Pirog 161 vs. Rodrigues Moungo 164
Pavel Melkomian vs. Valery Volozhenin (to weigh-in later)
Good grief. When are modern heavyweights going to learn they don't have to be heavyweights.

I've never seen Okhello fight but his KO percentage is good, he has only been Ko'd once himself, and Maskaev doesn't seem capable of dominating 12 rounds to me against anybody. Because of all that and noticing that Okhello was a 6-1 dog, I put $10 on him. Hopefully I'll wake up tomorrow with some good news! Anyone who saw his fight with Samil think he has a decent chance? I was guessing that the odds were so out of whack since Maskaev has more fame for the Rahman knockouts while Okhello is a virtual nobodyComment
