Would Nikolai Vuluev stand a chance against this guy!?

This is a fight between 7'2 370lbs Hong Man Choi and 6'8 Akebono. Hong Man Choi dominated in K1 kickboxing and has just signed a contract with PRIDE Fighting (http://www.pridefc.com) for $4 Million per fight!

Valuev is tall but Hong Man Choi is taller, more muscular, quicker, more skilled, and just as freakishly big. I havent seen enough of Valuev to say how good he is or is not, but Hong Man Choi is more than just a typical tall boxer.

edit: Choi is wearing 16oz gloves in this fight. Anybody know what size gloves they make Valuev wear? Choi punching power would increase ten fold if he didnt have these huge pillows on his hands.

        Here's a really good highlight.

More info on Choi: he is 25 years old. huge celebrity in Korea and Japan. Will be coming to America in 2007. Kickboxing backround like Vitali Klitchko. Wants to fight in professional boxing. has had talks with don king.

watch the end of this video... Mike Tyson is sitting in the crowd and Hong Man Choi confronts him

Well, here are a few thoughts.

          1. If he can't kick Valuev, he loses. Sorry; but his is how I feel about MMA fighters out of their element. In and MMA match, the MMA guy beats the boxer, in a boxing match, the Boxer wins. I'll bet money on it every time.

          2. Speed is relative and watching Godzilla follow a former Sumo around the ring doesn't tell much.

          2. I didn't know they grew 'em that big in the Far East. What did they feed that boy? LOL!!!

jahmeel mccline is gonna beat valuev soon enough... monte barret's looping punches hurt valuev, he just couldn't throw enough of them. mccline is a bigger puncher than barret or valuev. the caveman throws arm punches, he doesn't sit down on his shots. any big hw with skills who doesn't get freaked out because of the monster's massive size is gonna beat him. wlad or vitali would seriously **** that caveman up

LOL. He's a freak of nature for sure. Koreans do however tend to be much bigger than other Asians.

btw - He has never fought in MMA KDogg. He is a kickboxing champion, similar to Klitchko. When he goes to PRIDE there is talks of him doing a boxing match with Butterbean (freakshow fight) but he probably wont do MMA.

also gotta add Hong Man Choi has an amazing chin and has never even been phased in kickboxing. I think he fought Francois Botha and tooled him pretty badly too. not that it's saying much but you know. Choi is surprisingly agile and fast for a big man. Also very aggressive and always moving forward. I heard Valuev is a little lazy and doesnt push the pace ?

anyways what's the word on Valuev's quickness and chin. How would he compare against an aggressive guy like Choi who is just as big and strong

Well, I still think a kickboxer could have a hard time making the transistion, still, Valuev isn't the busiest fighter.

Valuev's got a head like a Buick. Doc says he got stunned by Barrett; but I don't know.

Yep, Choi looked a little quicker than Akebana. I suppose this should lend him a title shot in todays HW boxing run bo Don King.

He seems to have zero skill in his hands, and his punches are slow.

Any top heavy would beat this guy sorry.

Anyone can see those punches coming from a mile away.
