    Duran vs Whitaker...

    Who wins at:

    Lightweight?
    Welterweight?
    Light Middleweight?

Whitaker's slick smooth style can be compared to Leonard a bit, so I think the matchup would have been interesting had they been able to meet.

Since they are both being inducted into the HOF, figured I'd ask the question.

I think both of them could have beaten eachother if it was their night, it's a 50/50 fight for me.

Whitaker is one of the slickest defensive fighters ever, but Duran was so relentless and resourceful. I don't see Duran stopping Pernell, but I can see Duran getting a decision in a rough fight in which Whitaker gets pinned to the ropes regularly and punished with body shots.

I agree with Shanus, sorta. I'd say Duran-Whitaker 60-40. If I were to give anyone a slight edge, it'd be Duran.

Duran wins by decision in all of them, with the closest being at LW.

            7-5, 8-4 type fights. Or 9-6 or 10-5 in 15 rounders.

Leonard fought the wrong fight when he tried to show his machismo and go toe-to-toe with Duran in the first fight. I don't think Whitaker would ever make that mistake and could see him frustrating Duran on the way to a close decision win.

However, it's a brilliant mystic match-up...a total pick em that will divide opinion big time.

I'll go with a prime Duran. Duran could do it all.
