Anyone who would ask this question obviously has not seen Roy fight I know people always hate on good fighters but if u think this would have even been a contest you're crazy Collins is nothing impressive Roy would probably boringly outbox him but it wouldnt be close he would never get touchedComment

Some funny post's..But to be honest I think collins would not just roll over..I would have love to see that fight! But alot of you guys said the same about Hatton and Kosta..Look what happened there. I no roy wouldnt take him out it would go to the carsd and in that case, Collins may of had a chance in the later roundsComment

Jones was a real bomber back then and might of knocked over the scrawny Collins who fought Eubank at Millstreet, but after that Collins started a weights programme and became a beast for the return at Cork and beyond. Not even Nigel Benn's best levered left hook caused him to blink an eyelid, and Freddie Roach rated Benn's left hook the best punch in boxing.
But the beast version of Collins wasn't very sharp at all, he wasn't actually that busy either. Yes he was very physical, grafting and constantly marauding forward but he was so damn sloppy that he wasn't letting off all that many punches.. he was just very awkward because he was a pub brawler in there and the brains of his opponents had been set to deal with trained boxers. But Jones was a sick athlete and won fights on athleticism. He'd tag Collins at will, dart about, make him look silly and hurt him plenty.Comment

Im not sure those Benn Collins fights prove much other than Benn was a spent force.Jones was a real bomber back then and might of knocked over the scrawny Collins who fought Eubank at Millstreet, but after that Collins started a weights programme and became a beast for the return at Cork and beyond. Not even Nigel Benn's best levered left hook caused him to blink an eyelid, and Freddie Roach rated Benn's left hook the best punch in boxing.

The way Jones KO'd Malinga, somthing Benn couldnt do in 2 fights.
Jones stopped so many fighters who had never been stopped before., i dont doubt he could stop Collins.Comment

That's strange theory. Benn just really struggled to get past Malinga's long left jab both times and lost both fights. Jones also struggled with Malinga more than you'd of expected. John Jarvis beat Malinga, that moaning **** Vincenzo Nardiello beat Malinga, Richie Woodhall made him his ***** and even Trevor Ambrose beat Malinga (or atleast deserved the decision). Eubank at his very worst beat him with ease and made him look average. Malinga wasn't very good, but had that long left jab Benn just couldn't get past on those nights.Comment

Nah Jones Jnr spanks these two and Collins on the same nite! I spoke to Nigel Benn once, he said he was glad a Jones fight never came off coz Roy woulda killed him! Thats the truth. Of course that was before Jones had lost, well other than the Griffin fight! So dont know wut he thinks now!Comment
