Originally posted by mai.pen.rai.krapI agree. Trinidad-Mayorga was exciting but the competition IMO lasted only 2 rounds, the other rounds was 1-sided. Pacquiao-Marquez was very close all through out except the 1st 2 rounds. Unless the upcoming Morales-Barrera 3 turns out to be similar in excitement and action as the 1st, it should be Pac-JMM for FOY.
Morales-Barrera III might not be as explosive as their 1st two encounters. I think Morales will KO Barrera into retirement....

baserocks, its only my opinion but I don't think a "NO MAS" fight can be fight of the year, and I still think Pac-JMM is the leading fight of the year candidate, and Trinidad-Mayorga second, I also have to wait what fight EM-MAB III & Castillo-Casamayor will produce...
asian storm, my opinion on the EM-MAB III, I think it will be a barn burner of a fight and the underdog MAB will show us some surprises, hope it will be a good fight....

All fights have been great (except Tarver vs. Jones II, too short), but Pacquiao vs. Marquez is my favourite. Fantastic comeback by Marquez after that devatating first round.

Pac-Marquez. Regardless of whether you think JMM won, his fortitude was amazing, and Manny also displayed his trademark power and fighting spirit. Trinidad-Mayorga was entertaning but minus the 1st round and it was a pretty one-sided beatdown, not the Hearns-Hagler people have been saying it is . . . .
