    Are Arum & Margarito Idiots?

Arum is now saying that Margarito can fight Williams if his hand isnt hurt but if it is then he would want to risk it and would rather fight Cotto in the Garden in June?

Translation: This ofcourse means that Arum & Margarito will definatly use the hand injury as a excuse and then fight Cotto. He's setting it up all the way. Thats why he throws it out there that Margarito will fight Williams but then he spins it by saying "if his hand heals". That is the way of having Margarito save face because there going for the Cotto fight.

Here is my point. It doesnt matter to me because I think either one of them are good fights but the point is both Arum & Margarito ripped Floyd for not fighting Margarito and taking more money to fight Oscar but then they do the same thing? You could say that Floyd fought Baldy 1st but it still doesnt matter because Floyd knew that the Oscar fight was around the corner but they call Floyd a fraud if he doesnt want to risk a tough fight against Margarito before the big money fight with Oscar and now there doing the same exact thing.

There total hypocrites. Lets just say Margarito's hand is really hurt, why not fight Williams in June and have Cotto fight Gatti or someone and then let them meet in the next fight? There avoiding Williams because Williams is a risky fight with less to gain before the big Cotto fight, kind of like Margarito is a risky fight before the Oscar fight, right? Doesnt that make Margarito a fraud?

Its even worst that Margarito did it because Floyd had no real reason to fight Margarito because he wasnt Floyd's mandatory and he wasnt the Champ but Williams is Margarito's mandatory. Its easy to throw the injury thing out there as a excuse to avoid somone. Again, Im not upset because I would love to see the Cotto fight but dont rip somone and call them names for something and then you turn around and do the exact same thing but in even worst fasion

Hypocrite maybe, but Arum is no dummy.

He's just a sneaky conniving hypocrite liar whose famous quote says it all:

"Yesterday I was lying, today I am telling the truth"

I'm not saying its right or wrong, but it is a smart business decision. Williams and Cotto both have the potential to beat Margarito and pose credible threats at the very least.

Why would Margarito risk a mega payday against Cotto in June (probably the Saturday of the Puerto Rican day parade) just to fight Williams?

Its clear that Margarito isn't scared of the stepup in competition since he was chasing PBF and now Cotto. I just think that he wan't the reward to be worth it when he does.

The same argument holds true for PBF who wasn't ducking Margarito either.

Also the Puerto Rican Day Parade weekend fight is almost an annual event know that has sold out MSG since Trinidad vs Mayorga. There is huge amount of possible revenue there. Also the PR vs Mexican angle will possibly also up the hype and ppv buys similar to how they promoted Italy vs PR for the pre-Parade fight of Paulie vs Cotto.

I agree with you 100% in that they are now proving to be hypocrites but its still smart business sense by Arum and Margarito. PBF is smart too and didn't allow the taunting of Arum and Margarito influence his business decisions.

It's no surprise that your 'translation' of what this all means vilifies both Arum and Margarito, given your history.
