Lacy out 9-12 months!

Former IBF super middleweight champion Jeff Lacy will be out of action for 9-12months, reports the St. Pete Times. Lacy suffered a torn rotator cuff in his left shoulder during his bout in Tampa Saturday night against Vitali Tsypko and is expected to have surgery in the next few days.

That happened in the third round too, and considering Lacy was whooping him in the first two.. ****ing hell.

I was wrong, it WAS his shoulder.

this doesnt look good for him at all. Maybe people will layoff with the "he's shot" stuff though when they see he was injured

Didnt they start icing it after the 3rd round? That was the round when Lacy fell off too right? His defense is still bad, but that explains why he was lethargic on offense after the 2nd round.

In light of this news I am retracting my statement that I thought Lacy was shot. I had no idea he was injured that badly and I'm willing to reserve my judgment until he fights again after recovery.

Its a bad injury, and I bet it takes almost two years before he is back to 100% This is a huge setback.
