There was certainly nothing Eubank could of done really to beat Collins at 168 in '95 or beyond and not much Benn could of really done to beat Collins post-McClellan.

Difficult to say at middle, Benn was more explosive at 160 and Collins didn't become a beast until the second Eubank fight (after he started weight-training), maybe Benn would of knocked him over?

Eubank could never fight for three minutes of a round. Collins could never out-box him or anything, not the younger Eubank, and let's not forget Eubank was a spectacular puncher in his day, and always could be quite devastating on the rare occasions he decided to get up-close, but I just feel Collins would always out-hussle him in the end.

I remember watching Collins fight Eubank and Benn (especially Benn) when I was about 12-13 and thinking 'that guy is probably the hardest **** I've ever seen'. And that included my dad.

I can't wait for the part where someone types a five paragraph essay on how Veit was equally as formidable as anyone.

I can't chose between Juan Carlos Gimenez Ferreyra and Mger Mkrtchian, they're too good...

This thread was started in a flagrant manner, but I'll respond anyway.

Lacy is arguable the best fighter Joe faced. Maybe he was not the best version of himself that night, but he did face decent enough opponents to have a case. Few, if any of Joe's other opposition beat anyone significant either if you want to argue Lacy did not.

I would probably say that the version of Robin Reid that he fought (and arguably lost to) was the best man Joe has ever faced. I did not see the figh itself but that is my two cents, regardless.

Reid and Bika were certainly the toughest fights of his career, but the best opponent I'd say was either Lacy or Reid.

Eubank is the best name on his record, but he wasn't the old Eubank we all hated/loved.

i think its pretty clear that this is a circular argument.

"calzone fought nobodies his whole career"
"thats cuz no one wanted to fight him."
                    "bull****."
                    "**** u *****."

say what you want about his resume, but its pretty clear that calzaghe is a great fighter just by watching him. great workrate, great handspeed, and great sideburns.

however, just because i think JC is a good fighter doesnt mean i rate him higher than say, bernard hopkins. we'll know in a year whether or not joe is hype.

He does have good sideburns, but the haters will probably disagree with that aswell.

I wish I could grow them like him.
