I have to admit that I like Allan Green as a person, because I understand where he's coming from. Here is a guy who many think is just an egomaniac referring to himself in the third person all the time, but truth is that he's just another fighter struggling in the world and reeping the benefits of his labor. He wasn't given nothing, he earned it all. Fighting for respect is much more difficult when you're from Oklahoma. He deserves everything he gets, I love Jerson like a brother but he didn't just decide to sit down, he was put down.

That's what he told me, that people don't respect him cuz he's from the Midwest. My assessment is, he's so far proven to be the exception to the rule. Also to be honest, he was a National Golden Gloves champ in 1999 so it's not like he's only beaten the Topeka team, this guy has done it against the best in the country already. Not many Oklahomans are about that.

u're right, that was his first time against an older experienced southpaw, though, i think green will get better. think his next fight should maybe be against a better level of southpaw, or at least, if he fights calzone, greens' tune up should be a southpaw, a fast one, to give him a lil taste of what it's gonna be like to fight JC.
