i was never impressed with this guy from the start. if clottey wouldnt have hurt his hand he would have won no doubt. i jus dont understand why people rate him so high, who has he beat anyway?

Clottey (in my opinion) would have won the fight if his hand did not get injured. But that shouldn't dismiss Margarito as a good fighter...Clottey looked really tough...good defense, good power, accurate punching. Margarito also was coming off of a layoff which doesn't totally excuse him but everybody is entitled to one off night. Margarito clearly has some defensive liabilities that need to be worked out, but he still has great power and the ability to throw a lot of punches...and if you look at the judges scorecards, that may have won him the fight even if Clottey didn't hurt his hand.

He was exposed to some people. I tried telling everyone for months what to expect and thats exactly what you saw. A slow, sloppy fighter with very little skill who only throws hooks. He will get beat by any guy who knows how to box and has an ounce of skill in their body (and doesn't hurt their hand like Clottey)

I wouldn't say exposed because I already knew and have said it countless times that Margarito is not as good as people think.

Now the Margarito fans can come back to reality and see that Mayweather/Margarito isn't a competitive match up.

because he's mexican to an extent. clottey is rated too low. i always thought he was. a few months ago people laughed at the fact of clottey beating marg. but i did and still do think clottey is the better fighter.
