    Are Winky's skill deteriorating?

This is basically what Manny was alluding to the whole night. I don't think so I just think that he wanted to please the home crowd. I mean this was his first fight there in 14 years. So he figured he would make it more exciting. But, I will say he got hit a lot more than I have ever seen him get hit. But he doesn't take that much damage because he doesn't get hit that clean. It was amazing to see his punch total at 1011 I think.

It was amazing to see him throw over 1000 punches, and be in such tremendous shape that he was hardly tired afterwards.

I dont think his skills are detiorating at all. He has simply become a more offensive fighter because he knows what it takes to be a professional prize fighter.

U have to put the buts in the seats and now that WINKY has already won his really big fights, he can now be more exciting.

Take barrera for example. When he NEEDED to win, he boxed circles around his opponents. But when he WANTED to win, he would put on an amazing show for the fans.

Now that WRIGHT has beat mosley and Trinidad he can start putting on some entertaining afairs

I wonder what's going to happen next if Oscar won't fight him, and another fight with Taylor falls through who else can Winky fight? I think if Oscar beats Mayweather then he'll fight Winky.

When you throw that many punches and you are fighting an accurate puncher of course your going to get hit especially when your Defense is the style of D that Winkys is. Use a little common sense.

I think he was trying to be exciting,so that he could gain some leverage in a future fight negotiations, like pull for 50/50 in Taylor/Wright II

He's taking more punishment, but he still looks good. He just took more punishment than he usually does against Jermain Taylor.

To answer the question NO: haha its so ****ing funny how a guy comes off a great fight with a guy like JT and then when he fights again aginst a guy who is a former champ like Quartey, people like this poster or Stewrd or who the **** ever, jump to and prelude to questions like this 1! The name of the game is boxing and people prepare for fights so to think a guy is going to come in and look or do 1 thing and when he looks the polar opposite, people ask whats wrong with him... ETC... ITS BOXING EVERBODY LOSES EVENTUALLY AND IF THEY DONT THEY DO LOOK A LOT WORST THEN WHEN THE !ST STARTED

Wright has been trying to change his style lately to become more appealing to the fans. This is a mistake. He is too old to change and he is also showing the effects of aging. All the hits that he has been taking are going to come back to haunt him in the future.

He threw over 1,000 punches. I thought he looked great.
