Calzaghe IBF Defence

This isnt a Calzaghe bashing thread, but everone is saying he is fighting this Manfredo to gain cred in the USA and it was ok for him to do this and drop the IBF belt, but the thing i dont understand is that why didnt calzaghe fight the IBF mand defence instead of the bika fight, I heard the ibf told him he had to fight his mand instead of the bika fight or afterwards or get striped so couldnt he have fought his mand instead of bika.

German's weren't ready I believe. Stieglitz has had a lot of injuries in his career. I think the German TV companies screwed up a potential fight as well.
