Is this true? can you provide a source that says Hopkins ducked Calzaghe

Frank Warren (so let's make this clear, it's one person's word, that doesn't mean we have to take it as gospel) said that Hopkins had signed and then just before the fight asked for double the money, which they couldn't afford.

FACT TWO: Part of the reason why you're so aggravating lately (apart from the fact you keep talking like a **** - I think the Coralles issue has made you go a bit mental) is that you argue with people ABOUT **** THEY HAVEN'T EVEN SAID. If you want to name me one instance where I've said that beating Lacy makes him an all-time great or compared his achievements with Floyd's, then please do so. Also, WHERE in my previous posts did I say that Joe would pitch an absolute shut out? I DIDN'T.
        That is not a fact.
Joe was unwilling to leave the UK and serious negotations with Roy never took place

FACT ONE: Before Blow, Lacy's best win was against a completely shot Robin Reid.

FACT TWO: To anyone WITH A WORKING PAIR OF EYES AND OBJECTIVITY, Lacy was one-dimensional, slow, missed a LOT and was WIDE OPEN. Particularly in the Pemberton fight.

FACT THREE: With the exception of Reid, every Joe victory was more impressive than Lacy's.

Face it, little dumb boy smack talker, the only people who thought Lacy would "pwn" Calzaghe are HOMERS.
The points you make here are the truth. I'm American and I thought Lacy would win the fight against Calzaghe, but that was because of ignorance. I had only seen Joe fight a couple of times and believed the press clippings that he was afraid to fight in America. Nonetheless, Lacy clearly was flawed before and he is still flawed now. I still think he can be a good fighter and maybe even a title holder but he has to learn to box and defend. And he really needs to learn how to adapt to an opponent in the MIDDLE of a fight. He seemed lost once his plan A didn't work against Calzaghe and last night.

Sigh. Why is it that a conversation with you relies on me dotting every i and t before you get it?

The assertion was that Joe has "never" wanted any big fights. My "fact" was that he HAD wanted those fights.

Saying it was "fact" that Roy wanted none of Joe is simply not true.

That wasn't the "FACT" that I was referring to, that was part of the overall discussion around said fact, see?

Even if the RJJ did want Joe, it still doesn't alter the FACT that Joe HAD tried to make big fights. Do you see?
