On Thursday, November 16th in Munich, Wladimir Klitschko took part in the eighth annual awards ceremony The GQ International Man of the Year. Inside Munich’s Prinzregententheater more than seven hundred guests gathered to honor GQ awardees, selected by GQ readers.
From fifty-three nominees readers narrowed it down to sixteen recipients since there were only sixteen categories. Sports category went to German National Soccer Team thanks to their attractive play and unexpected third-place finish at the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Other top categories included: Actor, Musician, Businessman, Newcomer, Fashion Designer, International, and Best Style.
The best Fashion Designer Award was given to Giorgio Armani, while Nicolas Cage won International Award.
As for Wladimir, GQ awarded him with a special premium to recognize his accomplishments in sports and work with charities.
“This premium is a great motivation to work harder and accomplish more in future,” briefly spoke Wladimir.
