bro, that was the whole point of this fight between castillejo and carrera....

why else would germany host this fight?......

carrera is bound, as in, he HAS to...........his contract would have said, if you beat castillejo, we promote your next fights.........and we can choose your opponent!!...

this is exactly how it would have been written out and OFFERED to carrera..........so carrera as an unknown in argentina, thought "what do i have to lose"!!

yes definitely.........but like i said.......still, its not common (except U.S.A), that you see a champion fight a challenger in a third country.....

castillejo would much rather defend in spain of course?...he would probably be able to promote his own defence.....

the point is, the germans tie these guys down with "take it or leave it" contracts.......

the whole point of this fight is to set up sturms' next fight, and of course it would have looked better against castillejo!..

but now, i'm sure you and i are both 100% sure that carrera will HAVE to defend his title against sturm in germany..........

I saw most of the sturm fight.I gotta Sturms defense is pretty crappy when hes not on his bicycle.Dude stands right in front of you,and even though he keeps his hands up,its like every punch gets through.

id still like to see sturm castelljo 2 for the winner to get a shot, anyway did u see the fight yet was it any good?

yep saw the fight...was competitive and both fighters landed some good shots.........castillejo got penalised twice for low blows, but some of them in my eyes were right on the belt!..

carrera is nothing special at all and had a varying style where he'd sometimes throw punches from a southpaw stance.....kinda reminded me of julio gonzalez a bit....

in the 11th round he hurt castillejo and had him against the rope......i'm not sure if it was an early stoppage by the ref or not as he was getting pounded and most of the punches landed.....either way, i think carrera would have got a close points nod!
