I am starting to think he deserves this win more. He really is a "humble beginnings" type of guy from Moca, Puerto Rico(Moca is a small town as opposed to Caguas, which is Cotto's town). Quintana has been under the radar for some time and even had to work in gas stations to earn money. I know I predicted a Cotto victory, but I am not so sure who I want to win anymore since I am aware of how hard Quintana had some things. Maybe he deserves this a little more than Cotto.
After reading about Quintana's story

The better fighter deserves the win more.
I mean you can sympatise one fighter over other for the reasons you stated, but it does not mean that they deserve the win more. -
I am referring to hard work here. I don't see boxing as just a sport, but also an extension of life. That's just me though. I did not refer to boxing skills or possible future megafight plans.Comment

If whoever had the roughest life or the hardest come up story in boxing deserved to win everytime and won then Kassim Ouma would be the greatest boxer ever!...read up on him, his story is much worst then anybody elses in boxing so far. Being kidnapped and forced to fight for the National Resistance Army, dudes been through mad crazy ****. Including a near fatal car accident and bieng shot by a co-worker.Comment

well, I am from Moca as well, and believe me it is a small ass town with not much advances like the other towns in pr, but nevertheless, it has nothing to do with skills. The better man will win tonight. Just because cotto comes from a bigger city than Quintana it does not mean he had better options as the entire island of Puerto Rico is still not as advanced as it should be.Comment

Several posters here missed the point of the thread. I said it was MY opinion and not that it has to be like that. I just shared a thought and was not looking for anyone to agree. I also said that I was not referring to skills here. By the way, if it was about who had a tough life, then Aaron Pryor would be the best P4P boxer ever. It's just an observation because I see boxing as more than just a fight inside a ring. I think there are lots of sacrifices to be made and that's why I thought Quintana might be hungrier and might deserve it after all.Comment
