    Quartey-Trinidad...who wins?

Then (at 147) and now (160), should Ike beat or even lose to the Winkster? I've often thought about this. Tito met Oscar and Fernando, Quartey met Oscar and Fernando, Winky met Fernando and Tito; but Ike and Felix never met.

    Thoughts?

Okay, are you talking about now or if they had met back in, say, 1999?

I say Quartey beats him now and back in the day as well.

I'd go for Tito back in 1999. Quartey decided to trade with Vargas and was getting caught with huge shots alls night. And we all know what Tito did to Vargas. IMO, Tito would have had him out of there if Quartey would have employed those reckless tactics.

Now? Probably Quartey. All that inactivity will have done Tito no good, plus it's pretty evident that a solid jab and constant lateral movement befuddles him.

I also think Quartey stops Tito especially at 147 where he was a monster & when he was active. Tito wouldn't have known what to do with a hard jab in his face all night. Winky's jab offset Tito all night when they fought & his jab isn't better than Quartey's; especially when he was at 147.

i would've picked Ike back in the day to beat Tito, i thought that his style (like winky's) was solid and patient enough to outlast Tito's style.

Ike's jab and shell defense would've been enough to give Tito fits, as long as Ike didn't fall into trading. that's what made Winky so effective was that he let Tito punch and then when he was done punching, Wright popped Tito when he was moving back and when stopped throwing, if Ike took that element into the fight he would've beat Tito back in the day.

i wonder why Ike and Tito never fought, i bet don king didn't want to risk Tito losing to a guy that wasn't a really huge draw. high risk low reward in fighting quartey, strange since Tito fought almost everyone at the time, and a lot of guys Tito fought were in their prime too.........king must have known somewthing about Quartey's style.

They were supposed to fight but it fell through & he ended fighting Jose Luis Lopez. That's why he was so inactive because he wasn't able to get Tito or Sweet Pea but was finally able to get DLH but even then DLH pushed the fight back due to an "injury".

I would say Quartey wins... Remember, lots of people think he beat some of the people he faced. If that were true, he would be top 10 P4P right now.
